Swain County High Schools AFJROTC puts a majority of there time and effort into helping there community. Picking up trash around campus, Helping maintain Bryson City Cemetery's, and adopt a highway is just some of the things Swain Count High Schools AFJROTC do for there community's, stacking up to 408.13 hours, SCHS AFJROTC is extremely dedicated to helping there community.
Color Guards

Among the events SCHS AFJROTC do, one of our most important is the Color Guards. Presenting our Nations Flag before sporting events or other assembly's is a big part of JROTC, and Swain County High School AFJROTC is honored to be a part of such events.
Drill Team
​
Drill Team is one of Swain County High Schools AFJROTC optional activity's. A group of cadets come together Monday thru Thursday after school to practice drill in order to compete against other JROTC drill teams. One of SCHS AFJROTC more competitive aspects.
